Batiste Cultural Arts Academy at Live Oak is a ReNew Charter Management school in New Orleans, Louisiana. Paul Batiste is the band director with over 30 years of experience teaching in New Orleans. He is embarking on a mission to duplicate the effort produced at Sophie B. Wright Charter School where he introduced the first-ever marching band. It earned the students at Wright international acclaim. In just a few short years, Wright went from being a failing school to out pasing other schools in New Orleans and out of failing status. And the marching band is enjoying notoriety.
Batiste has taugh at over 12 schools as an Intinerant Instrumental Music Specialist.
Batiste Academy will feature a first class marching band to trumpet the new era in arts education and carry a banner for our children's future.
